Still life through a new lens – close up

Being able to take photo of still life close up was really interesting. Before this project I had really only taken close up photos of things in nature. So having the opportunity to find a new way to show objects and products was really fun.

I had my camera settings at 1/125 and f/11. I had a big light on my station that gave a nice effect on the jewel tones I was working with. I zoomed in to about 85 and then I moved back and forth towards my subject until I saw that my subject was a little bit more focused. Then I used my focus to sharpen my focal point up and snapped the photo.

Here are my results!
