It’s not rare to see a lot of engagements in Rexburg…

And that means there are a ton of engagement photos on my news feed at all times. Lucky for me, I love engagement photos. None more than my own, of course, but my second favorite goes to my friends, McKinley and Kyle.

I’ve known McKinley forever so when she asked me to do her engagement photos I was beyond excited. When McKinley and I talked about what she wanted for her photos, we’d talked about doing a snowy photo shoot. For some reason Rexburg actually decided to not snow for a few weeks. We waited for snow to cover the ground but it just wasn’t happening. It was getting closer and closer to their wedding day and we couldn’t wait any longer. So we headed out to the local nature park and had the photo shoot.

I’ve shot for friends before, but I’ve never had so much fun as I did on this shoot. They were goofy and silly in front of the camera and their photos came out all the better because of it. We even got attacked by a flock of geese and ducks that stampeded over to us the moment they saw our car. It was a super fun, cold, beautiful shoot.

The next day we woke up to snow covering the ground like crystals, so we took an hour and went back out to the park. We froze, but we also got some of my favorite engagement photos ever!

Here are some of my favorites from both days of the shoot:
